Monterey Jazz Festival

Held the third weekend in September, the Monterey Jazz Festival has enthralled visitors for nearly 60 years; legends including Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie have performed here, among many others. The festival showcases over 500 performers on eight different stages.

Carmel International Film Festival

Join some of the industry’s most noteworthy filmmakers as they descend upon Carmel for four days every October. This international film festival features everything from film screenings and lectures to parties. Be sure to stop by the new Music Café.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

Founded by Bing Crosby in the late 1930s, this unique tournament is as entertaining as it is exciting; it features both pro golfers and celebrities, and all proceeds benefit local charities. Matches are played on the Pebble Beach Golf Links, Monterey Peninsula Country Club Shore Course, and Spyglass Hill Golf Course.

Big Sur International Marathon

Considered one of the most scenic marathons in the country and one of the most difficult, the Big Sur International Marathon gives athletes the rare opportunity to run 26.2 miles of coastline with some of the most incredible views on the West Coast.
